# Logan’s Legacy Lives On at Marilla Park

The Streator community continues to rally around Logan’s Oasis, a not-for-profit organization with a beautiful mission: to build a playground in Logan’s memory that celebrates joy, inclusion, and community at Marilla Park.

On August 5th, 2023, Logan's life was tragically cut short in an accident. What followed was a wave of love from friends, family, and neighbors who refused to let his light dim. From that grief emerged Logan’s Oasis—now an officially incorporated not-for-profit in the state of Illinois, thanks to the determination of his loved ones and supporters.

Upcoming Fundraisers

THROWING FOR LOGAN  
The 2025 “Throwing for Logan” disc golf tournament returns with even more heart and purpose. Two days of unsanctioned play will keep costs low and fundraising high:

Thursday, July 12 – Singles Tournament

$10: Player Pack and event costs

$5: Ace Pot

$5: Donation to Logan’s Oasis

Friday, July 13 – Doubles Tournament

$15: Player Pack and event costs

Both days will feature two 19-hole rounds. Hole 15 will be split to help save time—and discs. Prizes include custom 3D printed trophies for the lower division and a cash payout for the upper division, including a $50 bonus for the first-place team. Food will be available for purchase, including burgers, hot dogs, sides, and homemade baked goods. A raffle with generous prizes rounds out the weekend.

LOGAN'S OASIS MOTORCYCLE RUN  
For those who prefer horsepower to hyzers, the Logan’s Oasis Motorcycle Run kicks off Saturday, June 14 at Mugshots, 813 S Illinois St.

Sign-ups at 11:00 a.m. | Kickstands up at 12:15 p.m.

Ride fee: $25 per couple, $15 solo, $10 for music only (cars welcome too!)

The route includes stops at:

1\. Smitty's – Leonore

2\. Jamie’s Outpost – Utica

3\. 9th St. Pub – LaSalle

4\. From the Ashes – Naplate

5\. Winner$ Gaming – Ottawa

6\. Back to Mugshots for a party with Wreckin’ Dixie, live from 7–10 p.m.!

The public is welcome to join for food trucks, raffles, auctions, and live music—all raising funds for a truly worthy cause. The planned playground will feature inclusive equipment, including a handicap play area and autism interaction space, honoring Logan’s life by enriching the lives of others.
