Streator Wins District 20 Title Behind Sullivan’s Perfect Game

The Streator Youth Baseball 9-10-11 year old All-Star team has captured the Illinois District 20 Championship with a dominant 15-0 win over Ottawa. The victory capped off an impressive tournament run and punched their ticket to the next round of the Illinois Little League tournament.

Leading the way was Westin Sullivan, who delivered a rare and remarkable performance on the mound. At just 11 years old, Sullivan threw a perfect game in the district championship. Over four innings, he faced 12 batters, threw just 31 pitches, and allowed no hits, no walks, and no baserunners. It was a flawless outing and a defining moment for the young pitcher.

The rest of the team backed up the effort with a strong offensive showing, piling up 15 runs and showcasing the depth and talent across the lineup. Streator’s players remained focused from the first pitch to the last, staying aggressive at the plate and sharp in the field.

With the win, the team advances to the sectional round of the Illinois Little League tournament. Their next game will take place on July 19 in South Holland, where they will compete against other top teams from across the state.

The championship marks a proud achievement for the players, coaches, and families involved. As they head into the next stage of the tournament, the community will be cheering them on every step of the way.
