Thread Revival Hosts Grand Opening on Main Street

Thread Revival, located at 322 E Main Street in downtown Streator, is celebrating its grand opening this week. Although the store has been open for six months, this marks the first official ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration.

According to the business’s Facebook page, the ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17. The grand opening celebration will run from Wednesday, June 18 through Friday, June 20. Customers are invited to stop in for door prizes and what the store calls “never done before in-store blowout sales.”

Thread Revival describes itself as a thrift and consignment store offering “all the premium brands names and affordable prices.” Brands listed on their page include Lululemon, Gymshark, Judy Blue, Sorel, Risen, Harley Davidson, Free People, Anthropologie, J.Jill, Chicos, Torrid, Ariat, Carhartt, Gap, Northface, True Religion, Madewell, and Farm Rio.

The shop features women’s clothing in sizes ranging from XS to 3X, along with custom and band tees, as seen on the storefront signage. A sidewalk sign displayed out front reads: “WARNING! CUTE CLOTHES MAY CAUSE COMPLIMENTS.”

In a Facebook post, the store shared gratitude for the support received so far, stating: “We are still a new business, and never had the chance to do our ribbon cutting and a grand opening. So the time has come and we are so excited.”

The business encourages community support through shopping, sharing their posts, or spreading the word.
