Traveling Tractor To Visit Streator Fire Department
Heritage Tractor’s Traveling Tractor Tour will stop in Streator on Friday, July 10, when the company’s local team presents a $1,000 donation to the Streator Fire Department.
The check presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Heritage Tractor Streator, 29987 N. 300 E. Road.
The stop is part of a summer tour across Illinois. Heritage Tractor says the tractor began in Roanoke and will travel more than 600 miles, with donations planned for 20 charitable organizations along the way. Each organization will receive $1,000, for a total of $20,000 in donations.
The Streator Fire Department was selected after employees from the local Heritage Tractor location voted on a charitable organization in their community.
The tractor featured in the tour is a John Deere 8R carrying two flags: an American flag and a 250 tribute flag. According to Heritage Tractor, the flags are meant to recognize the communities and workers that make up the country.
The Streator Fire Department was established in 1887 and operates as an all-hazards department from a single station at 108 N. Wasson St. The department provides fire suppression, emergency medical response, fire prevention, inspections, investigations and community risk reduction.
Heritage Tractor is a full-service John Deere dealership providing agricultural and outdoor equipment, parts and service. The company was founded in 1998 and now has 40 locations in Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.
Prairie State Tractor, including the Streator location, joined Heritage Tractor in 2025. The Streator dealership serves the surrounding area, including Streator, Ottawa, Dwight, Marseilles, Oglesby, Ransom, Seneca, Tonica and Wenona.
